What's the best live version of "Oily Water" in your opinion? That, and "Chemical World" are my favorite live Blur songs. Something magical happens to them when played live.
ReplyDeleteThere are so many great ones (Oily Water from Kilburn '91 is awesome, Chemical World from Glasto '94 is ace, and the two of them at Wolverhampton '09 are jaw-dropping...there are loads more good versions but those are the ones that come to mind instantly...and those are two of my favorite songs, too!)
ReplyDeleteTheir performance in Koln opening for Duran Duran was a great version of Oily Water...at least the video for it is funny.
ReplyDeleteI love it when Graham breaks his guitar during Chemical World and Damon starts making up fake adverts "This is a Fred Perry".
Haha, yeah, that one's a riot!
