One of only a few warm-up shows Blur played before Think Tank was released, this is the only one available. It's an interesting show for two reasons: the band is surprised the crowd knows the songs before the album was out, and Alex couldn't make it to the USA due to visa issues, so Chris Traynor fills in on bass! A weird gig, but an enjoyable one...hope you like it!

(And do you intend to also put Glato 1994 and 1999, aswell as the B-sides gig?? Only suggestions (but I would be very pleased))

Hi there, thanks for the kind words on the blog, I'm glad you like it! I'm hoping to put some more articles and shows up within the next week or two once things settle down on my end...
ReplyDeleteYes, I intend to put the other Glastonbury shows up (so far I've uploaded 1992 and 2009)...perhaps this weekend, if I can find the time!
As for Lyon 2009, I have it, but I've been asked by the taper not to share it out (you are not the only one interested in hearing it). I will try to ask again if it's OK, but be patient :-)
Marie:
ReplyDeleteOk Thanks ^_^
I've seen you've put both Glasto 1992 and 2009 that's why I've asked
Too Bad for Lyon :(
Thank you for the upload! I was 23 at the time, paid $150 to get into the "secret show", just recently broke up with the love of my life and my roommate, and was looking for a place to stay. I showed up at the Bowery at 7am, where the janitor let me in and allowed me to nap and keep away from the cold until showtime. The music was gorgeous and touched me in such a personal manner, and I got to tell Damon after the show :)
ReplyDelete^Great story! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteIt must have been weird seeing them without Alex, it certainly is odd listening to it.
