Here is Blur's final show of 1995 (and their third at Wembley in
December 1995). The sound is pristine, and while the band sounds tired
at times, this is still one of my favorite shows...a great one to listen
to. This complete soundboard version is very rare, so I hope you all
like it. Enjoy!
UPDATE: I've reuploaded it due to many requests and the fact that the original MegaUpload link is dead (as is MegaUpload!)
Enjoy!

Thanks, boss! As always, much appreciated.
ReplyDeleteThanks for this!
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome, hope you like it and let me know what you think. I'm conflicted about this one myself...great sound and a nice setlist but kind of a strange performance.
ReplyDeleteThe sound quality is great was this a tv or radio broadcast? Not sure about the setlist either, there isn't a lot of tracks from The Great Escape considering it was in 1995. I guess they were already hating the album by this point. Would have liked to here them play best days, esp when they played it in Dublin a few weeks later. Over all it's a good show but not the best setlist of that era.
ReplyDeleteYes they definitely pruned TGE songs as they went along in the fall of '95. Btw I potentially have the Dublin tape with Best Days coming to me that is more complete (mine is missing the encores). If I ever get it, we'll see once and for all if they ever played Best Days live.
ReplyDeleteI'm also missing the encores, seems weird that it was the only gig that they played it though.
ReplyDeleteAll the tapes of it are incomplete, but supposedly this fellow has the whole thing. Guess I'll see if I ever end up getting it!
ReplyDeleteI've seen the Dublin 1997 show mislabelled as been from 1995 on various sites so be careful it ain't that show they have.
ReplyDeleteThis does sound really excellent - was it a syndicated radio show? is there a lossless version available?
ReplyDeleteIt was a syndicated show from Austrian radio. I have the actual EMI Austria radio station promo CDs, so I could always rip lossless
DeleteThe mp4 sounds pretty good, and it's certainly not urgent, but if you had time to rip and post in flac at some point it would be good to have in the best possible quality! Is this a show that could be put up on Dime et al, or does it count as 'officially released'!?
DeleteI'm not going to put it on Dime, since, with the release of the iTunes album today, it's technically "official" material. Likewise with the BBC gigs (which, I believe, have already been taken down right after I uploaded them a couple of weeks ago!)
DeleteThanx
