Straight from the man himself, Damon stated in an interview that Blur met recently and are planning to convene for new recording sessions in January 2011. This is fantastic news and will hopefully lead to a new album or at least an EP. Let's discuss this!! Please comment, what do you think of this?

Yeah, I saw it on NME today...typical NME, though, days late to the party, as usual!
ReplyDeleteI remember that comment Damon made that you linked to, but I took it with a grain of salt then...not so much, now!
Just as is the music scene today, especially the shuffle music, they should go back and bring the magic of his compositions, perhaps just a few songs. They will never stop surprising us. It would be very good in these sessions Damon and Graham find that connection or chemistry that makes them want to write many songs and put together a new album. I think it would be much more free album, as well as they did in 13, but perhaps more complex because they have acquired much more experience these last years.
